This is the end of a murrine pull by Stephen Boehme. These are referred to as “ends” or “knuckles” and there are only two from each pull.
This piece was recovered from our building after Hurricane Helene and it still has mud within the gaps in the murrine. Just worth mentioning that this piece is a relic that survived the most destructive storm in NC history. It can be cleaned deeper with an ultrasonic cleaner but we have cleaned it on the surface and left some of the dirt inside.
