This is a Tonbodama by Japan based glass artist Daisuke Takeuchi titled “Blue Mosaic”.
In Japanese, tonbo means dragonfly and dama means bead. This traditional style of Japanese beadmaking dates back thousands of years. Tonbodama are named for their intricate murrine patterns, which can resemble the compound eyes of a dragonfly.
