This is a Core Formed Vessel by Japan based glass artist Daisuke Takeuchi titled “Mandala”.
“Mandala” features an intricate floral and geometric pattern assembled from fine murrine, creating a symmetrical mandala across the surface of the vessel. The detailed patterning and luminous color palette shift dramatically as light passes through the glass.
This is a two part vessel consisting of a mandala top and a base with decorative murrine walls, cane lip wraps, and a murrine cluster in the center of the interior base. The vessel comes with a custom wooden presentation box handmade in Japan. Daisuke’s core formed works draw from one of the oldest known methods of glass vessel making while pushing the technique to remarkable levels of precision, symmetry, and detail.
