Dodecahedron Universe Holoscope by Gary Allison

This is a full sized Dodecahedron Universe Holoscope by Arizona based artist Gary Allison. This Holoscope shape is a Dodecahedron and there are mini clear glass marble inserts set into its corners that are reflected by internal mirror panels. The exterior faces of colored glass are made of soft glass that is hand cut and beveled. In between all of the glass panels and mini glass marble inserts is hand applied and sanded grout that has 2 layers of sealer applied with a small brush. Each polyhedron is drawn by hand, the pattern is cut out, and then the mirrors are cut using these precision templates. Gary has been creating Holoscopes since 1999 and the Dodecahedron Universe is one of the most classic Holoscopes that Gary makes. Truly honored to share his work with you through our gallery!
